Louisiana Pharmacy Technician State Requirements- Board of Pharmacy Technician Guidelines states the following requirements for becoming a pharmacy technician:
-High School graduate and be 18 years old
-Education: Be enrolled in a board certified education program OR already have PTCB national certification
-Experience: Obtain 600 hours in a Louisiana pharmacy, 200 hours earned during a structured training program
-Examination: Pass PTCB national certification exam
-Initially you submit a technician candidate application, and pay $25 application fee
-After completing all requirements, you submit a pharmacy technician certificate application, and pay $100 application fee
