Tennessee

Tennessee Pharmacy Technician State Requirements – Board of Pharmacy Technician Guidelines states the following requirements for becoming a pharmacy technician:
-Complete pharmacy technician application, pay $50 fee
-Complete technician affidavit (stating that you understand the state laws for technicians), your employer needs to keep this in your work file
-The pharmacist to technician ratio goes from 1:2 to 1:4 if you have nationally certified technicians
-I recommend completing an online (lower cost) program and obtaining national certification to be competitive when looking for a job
