New York

New York Pharmacy Technician State Requirements – Board of Pharmacy FAQs state the following requirements for becoming a pharmacy technician:
-New York currently does not regulate pharmacy technicians, they are termed unlicensed assistants
-The pharmacist to unlicensed assistant ration is 1:2
-I recommend obtaining a national certification (PTCB or ExCPT) and/or completing a technician program in order to be competitive
