Montana Pharmacy Technician State Requirements - Board of Pharmacy Technician Guidelines (go to license information and choose technician) states the following requirements for becoming a pharmacy technician:
-Complete pharmacy technician registration application and pay $60 application fee
-Obtain high school diploma or equivalent
-Obtain national certification through PTCB, ExCPT, or other board approved certifying entity (you may also obtain a tech-in-training registration that gives you 18 months to get nationally certified)
-Three character references (one from a pharmacist)
